Volunteer Registration




We’re thrilled you’re ready to make a difference with us! Whether you’re excited to help around the Pet Resource Center, walk dogs, brighten a cat’s day, or help with our events, we have an opportunity just for you.

Please note that volunteers must be 18 years or older.

Step One:
Register as a volunteer.
Click the link to head to our volunteer calendar.
From there, click the button in the top right corner labeled
New Volunteer Registration and fill out the required fields.
Step Two:
Complete the Fear Free Training
IMPORTANT:
To work with animals, you must complete the Fear Free Training. Download the form, fill it out, and upload it on the Fear Free training website to create an account.
After you finish your Fear Free training you'll get a Certificate of Completion. Please email this certificate to Natalie, our Volunteer Coordinator.
Step Three:
Wait For Confirmation
After you have emailed your Fear Free Training Certificate, it will be added to your account. You will be notified via email when this has occurred.

In the meantime, please complete the Alaska SPCA Volunteer Orientation through your new volunteer account.
Step Four:
Sign Up For Your First Shift
Once you have gotten your confirmation email, and have completed the Alaska SPCA Volunteer Orientation, you will be able to sign up for your first volunteer shift! Our Volunteer Coordinator will meet you at the start of your first shift to guide you.
