Interested in helping Alaskan animals? There's no better way than volunteering!

What kind of things can you expect to do while volunteering?

  • work with pet owners in the Pet Resource Center

  • help in the clinic (requires prior medical training/experience)

  • cat socialization

  • dog socialization

  • help with kennel cleaning and maintenance

  • laundry at the shelter

  • help with adoption clinics

  • basic obedience training

  • story times

  • and more!

There are limited opportunities for youth under the

age of 18.

If you want to work with animals in our care we require you to complete the Fear Free Shelter Program training.  The training is free and online; expect that it will take approximately three (3) hours to complete.  To register you will need the Volunteer Verification Form.  Download here. Add your name and upload to their site.  Please remember to submit your Certificate of Completion under your Qualifications on the Volunteer Portal.
