The Alaska SPCA Clinic is part of a nonprofit organization. We work to keep our rates low. We do that by requiring payment for services at the time they are rendered. Our Clinic services are not free. We accept most major credit and debit cards, cash, and PayPal. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS or Care Credit.
Deposits: We require deposits at the time appointments are made. For a spay or neuter, the deposit required is the cost of the procedure; any add ons (vaccines, microchips) can be paid at the time the animal is picked up from surgery. If, for some reason, you cannot make your appointment, please contact us to reschedule; we do not want to keep your deposit on our books for any longer than necessary. Deposits will be refunded if a replacement appointment is not made in 90 days from the time the deposit was taken.
Deposits for surgeries and dental procedures are a $100 minimum. At the time of the exam the veterinarian will give you an estimate of cost. Plan you appointment so that you can pay that estimate.
We understand that unplanned veterinary expenses can take a bite out of your budget. We want to work with you so that your pet can receive the care he/she needs. We can accept pre-payments in installments. Many people find that helpful when planning a mass removal or dental procedure. We also accept ScratchPay (see below).
ScratchPay is a microloan program specifically for veterinary care. They offer a range of financing options that can meet many family's needs.
