Day 1: Theo
Theo, a bright-eyed six-year-old senior pup, spent an incredible 114 days at the Alaska SPCA—longer than most pets ever wait. But Theo seemed to know he wasn’t just waiting; he was holding out for his perfect match.
During those nearly four months, he became a staff favorite, charming everyone with his goofy grin and boundless enthusiasm. He loved splashing through water on outdoor adventures, curling up as the “office dog” during paperwork afternoons, and tagging along for any activity that let him be close to his human buddies. ​
​His stay was long, but he grew into the shelter’s quiet hero of patience and joy. And then, one wonderful day, Theo finally met the family who saw him for the treasure he was. Now, this once-waiting pup is celebrating his very first holiday season in his new home—surrounded by love and twinkling lights.
