Rural Outreach

The Alaska SPCA recognizes the challenges of caring for pets in rural areas where veterinary care may be hundreds of miles away. The Alaska SPCA sends veterinarians to rural communities, off the road system to assist in providing essential veterinary care, including spay/neuter and vaccination services.

Our Mobile Surgical Clinic reaches outlying communities on the road system with minimal access to veterinary care. The mobile unit has visited Soldotna, Copper River, Tok, Glennallen, Trapper Creek, Hope, Nikiski, Sterling, Big Lake, Palmer and Wasilla.

Mobile Clinic 2019 Schedule:

Soldotna spay and neuter clinics, scheduled for September 2019, have been postponed due to concerns that uncertain fire and road conditions will put our staff at risk. We will post information about rescheduled clinics in Soldotna as soon as we have definitive details to share. Thank you for understanding!
