The more we sell, the more animals we can rescue! We have several $1 racks of clothing, lots of
clothes for less than $5, a book room, and of course, a "pet corner" featuring
items for our furry friends.
Visit Adoptable Cats
While you're shopping, be sure to visit our "satellite-shelter" located in the back of the store where we house rescued cats and kittens who are ready for adoption.
Saturday Surprise Sales
We do surprise sales every
Saturday. The "surprise" refers to the types of items on sale and the
percentage discount off of those items -- it could even be 50% off the
whole store! Come in each Saturday to see what bargains are waiting
for you.
Thank you
We are very grateful to the many generous Alaskans who have donated such good-quality items to us. And we're especially grateful to our dedicated volunteers who come in to help every week (they put in about 200 hours per month!). They are an invaluable part of the AK SPCA's ability to raise money for our programs.
Donation Information
We ask that donated items to the Thrift Shop be in good usable condition. Items that are broken, dirty or stained cannot be accepted because we cannot sell them. We must then pay to dispose of them. A good rule of thumb is that if you wouldn’t buy a particular item because of its quality, most likely no one else would either.

Shop Cats
Several
resident felines are always glad to greet customers, and so are our
adoptable cats in a special satellite cat house at the rear of the
store.
Want to Volunteer?
Do you
want to help our animals but are unable to adopt one of your own? Help
socialize the shelter
animals! It's easy -- just drop by and we'll get you
started. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. No Community Service.
Security Cameras
Due to
recent garbage dumping behind the store (and the large costs we incur to
dispose of it), we have installed a security camera. Anyone found
leaving unauthorized items at the Thrift Shop, will be reported and
prosecuted. Thank you for your cooperation.
