Fix-a-Feline:
low- to no-cost spay/neuter surgeries for cats only
The Fix a Feline low- to no-cost spay/neuter program for cats was started in 2008 in the Alaska SPCA mobile clinic with a grant from the Municipality of Anchorage. Although no further grant funds were available, the program was such a success that it has become a permanent program, and FAF services are now available year-round.
FAF has had a direct positive impact on reducing the number of feline intakes at Anchorage Animal Care and Control Center, and consequently, is helping to reduce the number of sick, abandoned street cats, as well as lower the tragic number of euthanasias of adoptable cats at AACCC.
So far we have "fixed" more than 1300 cats through this program since 2008!
Donate to Fix-a-Feline
If you're able to contribute to this program, more needy animals will have the opportunity to be fixed and fewer cats will end up homeless and in shelters. You can sponsor a feline-spay surgery for $40 or a feline-neuter surgery for $20 – we're grateful for any support you can offer. Click here to donate.
There are too many unwanted cats in Anchorage.
We must spay and neuter to end this tragedy.

The proceeds from our annual Spay-ghetti Dinner & Silent Auction in March are used to fund
the spring and summer Fix-a-Feline surgeries. Donations to the program are truly appreciated, and make a huge difference in the lives of the cats we are able to sterilize – as well as in the lives of their people, who may not otherwise be able to have this important surgery performed.
